Mike Walsh – Chief Executive Officer
Mike Walsh joined US Methanol and Liberty One in 2020 as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Walsh has over 30 years of Operations experience in the chemicals industry. Prior to joining US Methanol, he served in a variety of Operational and Manufacturing roles at General Electric and SABIC and most recently he was Vice President for America’s Manufacturing at SABIC. Mr. Walsh has extensive global experience at both leading manufacturing business teams and working on complex international projects across a wide variety of process technologies.
Mr. Walsh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University.
John Lemmex – Chief financial Officer
John Lemmex joined US Methanol and Liberty One Methanol in 2023 as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Lemmex has over 35 years of financial experience in the chemicals industry. Prior to joining US Methanol, he served in a variety of financial roles at Bayer and most recently he was Chief Financial Officer at Covestro LLC. Mr. Lemmex has extensive global experience at both leading financial teams and working on complex international financial projects.
Mr. Lemmex earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from McMaster University and a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Kevin biehle - Chief operating Officer
Kevin Biehle joined US Methanol and Liberty One Methanol in April of 2022 as the Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Biehle has over 30 years of experience in the chemical industry. His first 20 years were with BASF Corporation where he held multiple operating leadership positions primarily in the polymerization sector. He left BASF to spend the next 10 years in various startup companies working on developing and executing alternative fuels technologies. In 2016, he joined Koch Industries which led to his most recent role as Director of Operations Excellence for Koch Ag and Energy Solutions leading technical process and project resources to support five fertilizer plants and one methanol plant in North America.
Mr. Biehle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Master of Business from Kellogg School of Management.
Angela Hyre - Human Resources Manager / COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Angela Hyre is the Human Resources Manager at US Methanol having joined the Company in May 2016. In her position she is responsible for HR policy, payroll, benefits, hiring and community relations. Ms. Hyre has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of accounting and human resources and served as Corporate Controller before transitioning to her current role in October 2019. Prior to joining US Methanol, she served as Controller and HR Manager with Mountaineer Capital LP, a West Virginia based venture capital firm, and its management company WV Capital Management. She is active with many community organizations and currently serves on multiple local non-profit boards and committees.
Ms. Hyre earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Charleston.
